The aim of the event is to give women working in this exciting interdisciplinary field of research an opportunity to present their work, meet other female mathematicians and physicists and find career advice and support. The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted all the researchers very badly, but there is data suggesting that women have been hit particularly hard. This event, initially meant as an in-person meeting at the Perimeter Institute, has become an on-line meeting focused on discussion and networking, with the hope of building and maintaining a support structure for female mathematicians and physicists. We have also scheduled plenty of time for scientific discussions, to encourage exchange of ideas.
